Window Replacement Will Increase the Value of Your Home After Remodeling

According to Energy.gov, “Windows, doors, and skylights—also known as fenestration—are significant components in a home’s envelope. Ensuring they are as energy efficient as possible can save energy; reduce heating, cooling, and lighting costs; and improve the comfort of your home.” Air, either heated or cooled, that is circulating through a home is lost by poor insulation and older, degraded windows.
Traditional wood windows are fast giving way to the superior technology, low maintenance, and affordability of vinyl replacement windows from Window Liquidators. Older panes can be the source of high energy costs, insect infestations, and lower property values as casings, jambs, and sills suffer the ravages of moisture and time. Old, weathered windows with outdated hardware, worn hinges and damaged weather stripping detract from your home’s curb appeal. This can also cost homeowners thousands of dollars in resale value.
Deciding to install windows that offer higher energy ratings can increase the value of your home and reduce the amount of time that must be spent on maintaining and cleaning. “In climates with a significant heating season, non-energy efficient windows can represent a major source of unwanted heat loss, discomfort, and condensation problems. In recent decades, windows have undergone a technological revolution. It is now possible to have lower heat loss, less air leakage, and warmer window surfaces that improve comfort and minimize condensation” (Efficientwindows.org)

We all know there’s only one chance to make a first impression, and your windows are often the first features guests and visitors see when they approach and enter your home.

  2. Surely they will, same as better doors, such as
Aluplast doors that will def. boost insulation and hence the overall value, too.
